Could You Be our Next Show Choir Leader?
Show Choir is a large and expanding choir giving adults the opportunity to sing songs from the shows (with jazz hands!!)
No matter what their musical background, Show Choir singers have fun learning to sing West End and Broadway favourites in a supportive and friendly environment! The emphasis is on enjoying rehearsals, but also making a great sound and putting on slick performances.
We currently have 5 choirs in Surrey, and are looking for both deputies and choir leaders to help us expand and spread the singing love! Rehearsals are held in the evenings, and on one morning, and are busy, energetic and lots of fun!
This would be a fabulous opportunity for a performer/music reader who can teach, or who would love to learn. (We can teach you to conduct!)

To be a Show Choir Leader/Deputy you will need:
- Boundless enthusiasm for life and especially Musical Theatre!
- Lots of Energy
- Great performing ability and good musicianship
- Excellent communication skills
- A confident and inspiring presence
- The ability to demonstrate both vocally and some simple moves
- A great sense of humour and patience
- To be organised, reliable, and punctual with positive disposition
As a Show Choir Leader, you’ll have a great time teaching lovely people fabulous show songs (sometimes with some simple choreography) Plus performing, conducting, planning, and helping shape the future of our company.
We offer great rates of pay, and fabulous performing and travel opportunities for the right person.
You will conduct and perform locally on a regular basis, as well as have the opportunity to travel and sing in fabulous destinations such as Disneyland Paris, The Edinburgh Fringe and Salzburg. Another perk is the chance to see West End Shows for free, as we also run Show Choir trips to all the big musicals!
Initially, we are looking for someone to take on one evening choir per week in the Molesey area, but with scope to take on more as Show Choir grows. (We are looking at other areas too, so do get in touch!)
We are also looking for deputies throughout Surrey and the South East.
A car is an essential but previous conducting experience is not, as training will be provided.
